Chanel Beauty launches Noir et Blanc Make-up Collection

CHANEL beauty launches the Noir et Blanc collection, inspired by the looks at the AW19 Womenswear show, the French fashion house creates an alternating make-up line that carry the Chanel muse from day to night. Powerful and striking, these non-colours make a strong statement that mirror the house’s eternal boldness.

Lucia Pica, Chanel’s Global Creative Makeup and Colour Designer created this line as a tribute to Gabrielle Chanel, Pica states, “Black and white are the colours I relate most to Gabrielle Chanel – the time she lived in, the power she gave these colours, the way they appeared in her life. Black and white were in her surroundings, in the interiors, in the architecture of Paris as well as in the symbolism of her life.” Pica’s words ring true, black and white have been the unofficial markers of the French label since its birth. By creating a collection soley dedicated to these two shades, Chanel reminds us of its history, specifically, the harmonious ebony and ivory details of the Art Deco era when Gabrielle Chanel was creating her eponymous maison in Paris.
