Chanel debuts the Allure Celeste necklace from its 1932 high jewellery collection

THE FIRST piece from Chanel’s new high jewellery 2022 collection – entitled 1932 – is the Allure Celeste necklace. It’s a celebration of the 90th anniversary of Gabrielle Chanel’s ‘Bijoux de Diamants’ collection – the only high jewellery collection she ever designed.

Sketch of Allure Celeste necklace

The Allure Celeste necklace is a transformable piece of luxury jewellery. The necklace design showcases three symbols: the moon, the sun and the star.

Sapphire and diamonds are centre stage in the work. Both the sun and stars are cut from diamonds, while the moon is made of sapphire.

The sun drops down from the moon symbol and sits lower than the rest of the necklace, creating an eye-catching asymmetrical design. Chanel will continue with the celestial theme throughout the rest of the 1932 collection.

Chanel has a long history of creating spectacular jewellery, but nothing is as out of this world as the new Allure Celeste necklace.
