Chanel Métiers d’Art 2018/19 backstage beauty looks

During the Métiers d’Art 2018/19 show, Chanel showcased stunning pieces of design, alongside makeup-looks created by Global Creative Makeup and Colour Designer Lucia Pica. Inspired by the ‘spirit of space’ and ancient Egypt, the beauty, seen on models such as Kaia Gerber and Hudson Kroenig, took on the colours of blue, black, and gold, paralleling the imagery associated with Egyptian royalty.

Pica explains that, alongside the feeling of Egypt, she wanted to create “an abstract futuristic feel” with Chanel beauty, utilising the Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long-Lasting Eyeliner, as well as the Calligraphie De Chanel Long-Wear Intense Cream Eyeliner to ensure a bold and intense statement eye look. The rest of the makeup remains minimal, light, and fresh, using Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation as a base to create a dewy and natural glow.

The makeup framed the models’ eyes, while staying simple enough to keep the attention on the collection. Combining elements of the intense with the soft, the future with the past, Pica used Chanel beauty to provide a perfect accompaniment to the collections looks.
