Chanel Transforms Coco Mademoiselle Into a Makeup Collection

CHANEL has drawn on the free-spirited character of Coco Mademoiselle for a new makeup collection, inspired by Gabrielle Chanel’s independent personality. At the centre is the limited-edition Les 9 Ombres – The New Smoky Eye palette, featuring nine eyeshadows that can be used for everything from subtle daytime makeup to a more dramatic evening look.

The palette combines five rich eyeshadows with four shimmering top coats. Its colours include smoky plum, mauve, taupe, soft pink, silver and champagne; they can be worn alone or layered together. The result is a softer version of the classic smoky eye, using muted neutrals instead of heavy black. The line also includes the limited-edition Rouge Coco – Crush lipstick, which has a smooth, moisturising formula and, for the first time, the bullet is engraved with Chanel’s double C.

Crush is a soft mauve-lilac with a light sheen, making it easy to wear during the day or evening. Completing the collection is Le Vernis – Coco, an opaque pale-pink nail polish with a subtle shine. Elegant but easy to wear, this Coco Mademoiselle Makeup Collection puts a new spin on the classic smoky eye.
