Chanel’s Les Beiges offers a winter glow

TRANSLATING winter sun into make-up, Chanel’s latest Les Beiges collection brings that alpine glow back to your face.

Creating a line that gives the impression that you have spent a day in the mountains, the five product capsule is your one-way ticket to a natural, rosy tint. Comprised of five products – blush, primer, eyeshadow, tinted lip balm and nail polish – Les Beiges makes sure all categories are covered.

The new Les Beiges Healthy Glow Blush (£54) is made with concentrated pearlescent particles that give your cheekbones a touch of colour to give that immediate in-from-the-cold appearance. Arriving in pink, coral and mauve shades, you can get that natural flush with one stroke.

For a winter complexion with a little shine that both plumps and blurs imperfections, the Les Beiges Healthy Winter Glow Primer (£48)is close to being an iridescent veil. Available in three shades – lilac, icy beige with peach, and coppery pink – the formula is made to give a frosted glimmer with the help of jasmine-infused oil, camellia seed oil and hyaluronic acid for long-lasting comfort.

The limited edition Les Beiges Healthy Glow Natural Eyeshadow (£53) brings intensity to your eyes with five ethereal shades of pink and purple.

The Rouge Coco Baume (£34)debuts in three new shades, all made with la a lip-conditioning formula that delivers instant hydration, while the softness of winter colours also touches the tips of your fingers in two new Les Vernis (£29) nail polish shades.

What is the best way to use the primer?

Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Winter Glow Primer is more than a primer. It blurs the skin and gives it a beautiful healthy glow without looking like you’re wearing makeup.

I recommend applying it on top of your moisturiser, and concentrating on areas where the light would naturally hit your face; high on top of the cheekbones, down the nose, middle of forehead and chin, and even a dab on the brow bone. It instantly brightens your complexion.

Where would you suggest placing the blush?

Think of mimicking that natural flush you get when you’ve been out in the cold. With a big brush sweep the blush high on top of the apples of your cheeks and lightly blend downwards and out. Make sure to blend well for a seamless natural finish.

The new Les Beiges Healthy Winter Glow blushers are perfect for this look because of their creamy powder texture. They beautifully sink into the skin and reflect the light.

To choose your shade, pinch your cheeks and match the blusher to your natural flush.

What’s the best way to achieve ‘In from the cold’ makeup?

The first thing you often notice when you’ve been out in the cold is your glowing skin and rosy cheeks. This is because the cold air increases blood circulation to warm up the skin.

To achieve this healthy look with makeup, start by applying a rich moisturiser such as the N°1 de Chanel Rich Revitalizing Cream. For that extra outdoor glow, blend the primer on the areas where the light naturally hits your face first; on top of the cheekbones, down the nose, forehead, and chin.

Use a concealer or a light textured foundation such as my favourite, Les Beiges Complexion Touch, to diffuse any blemishes, redness, or under-eye darkness. Finish with a sweep of blusher and a slick of one of the nourishing Chanel Rouge Coco Baume tinted lip balms.

What is the one thing from the collection that is essential?

The primer is essential for this time of the year as it’s so subtle and gives the most beautiful glow to the skin.

My other favourite product from the collection is the Rouge Coco Baume in Keep Cool. It has a frostiness to it and a flattering nude rosy shade when applied to the lips.
