Daniel Lee takes control of the Bottega Residency

TO HELP us through this difficult time, Bottega Veneta is launching the Bottega Residency. This initiative is a multi-platform concept bringing creatives together to share and distract us from the current global climate, stating it as “a theatre of joyous distraction in a time of isolation”. Through hosting a series of events that aim to mirror a typical weekend, the brand is injecting a sense of normality back into our routines. From cooking videos from chefs, to Sunday film night and live music from various musicians, all providing a form of entertainment to the comfort of our homes.

The first installation comes from the brand’s creative director, Daniel Lee. He believes that creativity and strength lie at the core of the Italian fashion brand, and so they have a “responsibility to celebrate those values and ignite a sense of joy and hope in our community”. Lee has curated this weekend’s programme with his favourite artist David Hockney featuring in a video, along with a Steven Spielberg film to finish the weekend off. Each week a new creative will design the programme for its viewers to combat the boredom that comes with isolation.

The Bottega Residency will be available to stream this weekend via Instagram, YouTube, Weibo, WeChat, Line, Kakao, Spotify, Apple Music, Soundcloud and through Bottega’s website.
