Dior and Harrods reunite for a new pop-up

WITH nearly over 70 years of strong friendship between Dior and Harrods, the two reunite to display a series of three pop-up boutiques at the renowned English luxury department store.

Dior has always had an affection for British culture with Monsieur Dior’s enjoyment of the English way of life, traditions and architecture. The brand dates its particular relations with Harrods way back to 1953 when Dior opened an in-store boutique and a year later, showcased their 1954 spring collection in their specially designed Dior room in Harrods.

The series of pop-up boutiques come as a homage to the longstanding friendship between the powerhouse brands. Each space hosts a distinctive world of Dior and presents a celebration of the strength and fragility that is encompassed in a femininity which is in endless motion, a concept realised in the autumn-winter 2023 Dior ready-to-wear collection by Maria Grazia Chiuri.

The first space has a warm feel and displays the aesthetic of a library immersed in the famed Plan de Paris motif created in the 1950s by Monsieur Dior. A gift shop composes the second room with beautifully patterned garments and accessories such as floral printed scarves and the Dior Book Tote bag, readily available for purchase.

The final space making up this charming experience displays desirable leather goods perched onto cabinets surrounded by chromatic subtleties.

As the two brands come together on their quest for excellence, the Dior experience at Harrods is delicately walking the line between striking innovation and tradition.

The event is being held at London’s Harrods from the 4-27th of August 2023.
