Dior shows Glass the craftsmanship behind their SS20 Haute Couture collection

DIOR has lifted the curtain, giving Glass an exclusive look at a savior-faire behind one of their looks from this year’s Haute Couture collection.

Dior’s Look 3, from their recent SS20 show, is a suit made of bands of jacquard lamé ottoman, woven together with knifelike precision to follow the natural curves of the body.

The suit took 1,200 hours to create, with four people dedicated to producing this look. All up, 15 metres of fabric was utilised to shape the end result, which is a mesmerisingly tailored and shimmering vision of formalwear.

The Dior SS20 Haute Couture collection was an elegant display of artisanal flourishes, and this video reinforces the effort and care that goes into the creation of such pieces.
