Elie Saab has brought a sophisticated beauty into his 2015 resort collection. Veering from his signature comfort zone in evening wear and working his way into ready-to-wear, while maintaining the familiar flow of a woman’s silhouette, Saab has put out a very wearable resort collection. Introducing a soft colour palette of butter yellow, mint greens and blush in a variation of pieces from tailored jackets, embroidered silk blouses, and raised hemlines gives the collection a versatile feel.
The muted make-up and understated hair lent a fitting backdrop to the impeccable garments. In all, in contrast to his 2014 resort collection, which was a bit more casual, this season Saab has kept to what he does best, using his formal wear taste to bring resort wear to a new level of elegance.
