Explore the Secret Garden Cinema at The Grove

IF you could craft the perfect summer for a calendar of outdoor cinema events, 2022 would be it. Whereas the mention of an outdoor cinema during the British summer would likely require either a blanket or anorak, lately we’ve found solace only in taking off the layers. With evenings maintaining a Mediterranean springtime temperament, the optimum landscape for an outdoor screening has been hit.

Undoubtedly, the team at Everyman Cinema and The Grove are chuffed. Because from the 15th of July to the 13th of September, the luxury five-star country estate is welcoming back everyone’s favourite outdoor cinema by Everyman, for a series of unforgettable outdoor film screenings.

Between these dates, hotel guests or diners will be able to enjoy complimentary screenings of new releases or well loved classics from Wednesday to Sunday in the walled garden of the estate. With 4.30pm and 8pm screenings available, you can decide between a cocktail in the sun or a handful of popcorn under the stars, depending on your mood. And with the schedule ranging from Harry Potter to A Star is Born, every film lover’s appetite is satisfied.

Set within the spectacular 300 acres of Hertfordshire countryside that make up The Grove estate, the secret cinema is cocooned in a blanket of greenery, turning up the relaxation dial to an even higher degree. It’s not just the setting that awaits movie aficionados, but an array of eating spots too, with lunches and dinners being served at The Glasshouse, The Stables or The Potting Shed, the later of which will  be offering their new Verde Kitchen menu, built with dishes inspired by Italian cuisine –  available exclusively this summer only.

If you haven’t scrolled down to find out how you can purchase tickets yet, then the heat must have really made you bonkers.
