Fendi’s Colibrì Slingbacks Are Autumn’s Most Dynamic Heel

FENDI’S signature Colibrì slingback has embodied a study in contrasts since its debut on the Spring 2018 runway. Instantly recognisable for its refined silhouette and distinctive elastic straps, the design seamlessly blends formal elegance with lightness and agility.

For her first collection for the Italian House, Maria Grazia Chiuri reimagines this signature style as the Very Colibrì, a sensuous, stripped-back interpretation introduced with the Autumn/ Winter 2026 collection.

Stripped back to its essential lines, the new design enhances the shoe’s innate balance between strength and femininity, creating a silhouette that is both elegant and effortlessly dynamic. A new, slender heel lends lightness to the design, while the deepened V-shaped vamp elongates the silhouette. Together, these elements strike a perfect balance between sensuality and agility, accompanying every movement with ease.

In The Art of Balance, Michal Pudelka captures this dialogue between dynamism and feminine elegance through a surreal lens. Set at Rome’s Stadio delle Terme di Caracalla, the campaign transforms everyday movement into a poetic expression of grace. The models are portrayed in moments of effortless motion, celebrating the freedom, confidence, and fluidity that define both the spirit of the Very Colibrì and the enduring spirit of Rome.
