Ganni unveils their fourth collaboration with 66°North

UNVEILED during Copenhagen Fashion Week, Gen-Z adored brand Ganni returned to the runway, not only with their AW23 collection but also with the fourth collaboration with 66°North. Proving to have had a successful track record with the Icelandic outerwear giant, this capsule further strengths the already strong synergy between the two.

Consisting of 14-pieces, the mini collection adheres to the balance of creating something both playful and practical, with functionality at its core. Varying between lightweight, breathable and waterproof Gore-tex, recycled fabrics are utilised and Seaqual yarn (recycled ocean plastic) is used on the inside fleece layer to reflect both the brands forward looking view at sustainability.

“We share the same sense of pride in where we come from and for this collection I wanted to go back to our roots and revisit some of those iconic pieces that really make us who we are,” explains Ditte Reffstrup, the creative director of Ganni.

Returning to the silhouettes that helped both cement their position in the northern hemispheres fashion world, the SS19 Kria jacket echoes the first line of high performance jackets from 66°North during the 90s, making a comeback in a more contemporary manner for AW23. More earthier, subtle tones are also available for those looking for a chicer look in bombers, cargo pants and long coats, perfect for the temperamental autumnal days.

“The journey with Ganni’s team has been fun, creative and opens up something new each time,” continues Bjarney Harðardóttir, CEO, 66°North. “And it’s inspiring to see both brands bring their unique DNA to the table. I am thrilled about the outcome”.
