Gender neutral London Fashion Week to be launched on a digital platform

THE BRITISH Fashion Council have announced that London Fashion Week will now be held online – merging the formerly separate menswear and womenswear shows. After the a recent rise in questioning the relevance of the fashion weeks across the globe, this change in response to the current health crisis seems to have come at a fitting time for the fashion industry.

This June, London Fashion Week will debut in its new form. An online platform open to the global public, “embracing the cultural commentary, creativity and humorous spirit for which British fashion and London are known for,” the BFC explain. Providing a space for designers, artists and creatives to share their multimedia work and furthermore bringing the fashion community even closer together at times of physical separation.
