Glass finds glitz and glamour at The West Hollywood Edition

IF YOU thought “California dreaming” was just a way of words, let me assure you that when it comes to The West Hollywood Edition it is a reality.

Situated in the middle of Sunset Strip, I’m immediately in awe of how hotelier Ian Schrager has captured the essence of the iconic location with its sleek, contemporary design. In partnership with Marriott International, luxury slots into the hip vibe, making this a must-place to be in.

Loft Room

Once I’ve checked in to this cool boutique hotel, I make my way to my Penthouse suite, appreciating the glitz and glamour that flourish through its hallways. Beverley Hills is nearby and each guest who is lucky enough to stay here is made to feel like a celebrity.

The Roof

As I walk into my room, I’m embraced by a spotlight view of the city. It’s magical and I could stand there staring for ages. The terrace area makes for a perfect peace zone, away from the bustling streets below. The room even has the sort of cutting edge technology that allows you to stream your own music throughout the apartment.

The Roof Pool

The bathroom boasts a double vanity area alongside a separate bathtub, decorated by natural stone. There’s also an enclosed rainforest shower and custom-made Le Labo bath amenities with a signature Edition scent.

As night approaches, I dine at the exemplary Ardor restaurant, created by chef John Fraser, which showcases vegetable-forward Californian cooking based on organic ingredients, ending my day at the Sunset nightclub for a nu-disco dance party curated by Zen Freeman.
