Glass Guide for Valentine’s Day Getaways 2024

WITH Valentine’s Day just around the corner, many couples are on the hunt for the perfect romantic getaway. From beautiful Georgian manors to Mediterranean retreats, here are some of our favourite locations to celebrate the holiday.

Coworth Park, Ascot

For couples hoping to escape busy city life, a trip to The Dorchester Collection’s Coworth Park is ideal. Located in the beautiful, expansive countryside of Berkshire, endless rolling hills and giant blue skies are certain to promote relaxation and tranquillity.

The hotel has also recently partnered up with ishga organic to provide a variety of calming spa treatments. Whether it be a romantic stroll through the quintessential English countryside or a couples massage at the hotel’s luxurious spa, Coworth Park makes an excellent Valentine’s Day option.

The Dorchester, London

Alternatively, for those hoping to embrace the metropolitan lifestyle, The Dorchester is offering a plethora of experiences. To start, couples can book the Time for Two spa package.

The package includes four hours in the spa with a 60-minute ishga nourishing body treatment and a 60-minute ishga seaweed facial. After having enjoyed the spa treatments, guests can visit The Spatiserrie for a delectable two-course lunch – which is also included in the package.

If one wants to go all-out for February’s celebrations, The Dorchester’s sparkling new boutique, Cake and Flowers, is selling a variety of beautiful bouquets, delicious chocolates, cakes and champagne.

Hotel Plaza Athénée, Paris

The UK has some formidable options for this Valentine’s Day. However, it would be unjust to not mention the city of love and light.

With many couples flocking to Paris each February, the Hotel Plaza Athénée is entirely prepared for the holiday season. With its vibrant red awnings, Haussmann façade, the beautiful Dior Light suite and views of the Eiffel Tower, it’s the ultimate romantic retreat.

In fact, the 1,900 geraniums that embellish the hotel’s flowerboxes pay homage to the love affair between the iconic Marlene Dietrich and Jean Gabin – who ordered the beautiful flowers to get Dietrich’s attention.

Now, couples can follow suit and make similar romantic gestures. For example, couples can book the Haute Couture Eiffel Suite and fill it with Champagne and roses. Alternatively, Le Bar has crafted a special Rose Royale cocktail for the festive celebrations. From visiting the hotel’s newly renovated Dior Spa to an unmissable meal at Jean Imbert au Plaza Athénée, the hotel has it all.

The package starts with guests enjoying time in the sauna and hammam. Then, guests are invited to a duo treatment room where a full body massage will provide ultimate serenity. To end, the duo can then enjoy delicious fondant cakes – crafted by Cedric Grolet – alongside two glasses of Champagne.

Additionally, guests can enjoy a musical meal for two which includes a five-course menu at the Restaurant Le Dalí or an evening for two in a suite at Le Meurice. For those particularly interested in the arts, the hotel also offers walking tours where visitors can learn more about Rodin, Monet and Picasso’s time spent in Paris.

Hotel Eden, Rome

If couples want to venture slightly further, Hotel Eden is perfectly positioned in the centre of Rome. Located just a stone’s throw away from The Spanish Steps and the Trevi Foundation, Hotel Eden is a cultural hotspot. La Terrazza – the hotel’s infamous restaurant – offers views over the entire city alongside irresistible seasonal Mediterranean culinary delights.

Similarly, at the hotel’s rooftop bar, Il Giardino Bar, guests can drink exquisite cocktails whilst watching the sun go down behind the seven hills of Rome. Hotel Eden has also teamed up with Valmont to offer ‘La Grande Bellezza’, a treatment exclusive to The Eden Spa.

The treatment begins with a gentle body scrub and massage with sweet orange oil and cream, before finishing with a warm orange-scented shower. Guests can then enjoy their state of repose with a glass of prosecco and orange sweet treats.

Hotel Metropole Monte Carlo

To finish, Monaco has some incredible locations – including the Hotel Metropole Monte Carlo. Situated in the Carré d’Or, the prestigious Belle Époque style property overlooks the beautiful Mediterranean Sea. This February, the hotel has curated a Be My Valentine in Monaco package. The package includes an upgrade to a junior suite with a bottle of Champagne and a buffet breakfast the following morning.

Moreover, the hotel is offering a series of Just For You experiences. In particular, the From Metropole, With Love opportunity is an extraordinary experience.

This consists of a private visit to the Monte-Carlo Casino, a fly-over in a helicopter and a lunch at Yoshi – the hotel’s Japanese restaurant. After, guests can explore the French Riviera in an Aston Martin, a couples massage, a candlelit dinner and a visit to the Casino’s gaming tables. Finally, guests will arrive back at the hotel and be greeted with champagne and rose petals in the room.

Visitors can also enjoy a Love Metropole cocktail served at the Lobby Bar, a visit to the Givenchy Spa or a romantic dinner at the newly opened Les Ambassadeurs.
