Glass looks back at the Tod’s AW23 collection

ITALIAN luxury brand Tod’s has unveiled its latest collection for the upcoming autumn-winter 2023 season, showcasing a refined and contemporary elegance. Led by Tod’s Creative Director Walter Chiapponi, the collection features a range of iconic pieces made with the highest quality traditional craftsmanship combined with clean lines and soft, precious materials.

Tod’s distinctive pebbles inspired the leather-covered buttons on the season’s famous peacoat, along with a parka with couture embellishments they’ve highlighted on the exquisite craftmanship behind the pieces.

There were also padded coats in fabric or leather with exquisite designs, jackets with asymmetrical zippers, and short, narrow-waisted bomber jackets in nappa leather or knit with shearling elements included in the drop.

Soft and oversized floor-length jackets are only one example of the collection’s emphasis on the feminine silhouette; other knit pieces include zip-up polo shirts with leather accents, sensual, enveloping knit skirts, and a matching cape. The colour palette still features camels, browns, and creams before fading into black and white for a cosy conclusion.

The collection’s accessories also demonstrate classic Italian artistry, with handcrafted leather, brushed, burnished, and polished finishes, seen in the legendary Di Bag, crafted from the finest and softest leathers, and a smaller version of the T Timeless messenger. Moccasins and men’s shoes include woven elements or T Shaped buckles, while high heels have leather and saddle features for a feminine touch.
