Glass relishes in the glamour of Saint Tropez at Hôtel Byblos

OUR LAURA Gonzalez suite at Hôtel Byblos shimmers with the elegance of the cerulean Mediterranean Sea. With hand-crafted marquetry doors, vibrant Middle Eastern mosaics, and a fusion of contemporary and antique furnishings, our suite pays homage to the hotel’s storied legacy in an artfully modern way.

Moments after we ring for housekeeping to refresh our champagne’s ice bucket, the impeccably dressed butler arrives, not only with the ice, but also with a tray of exquisite pastries. I’m instantly captivated by the level of attentiveness.

Hotel Byblos, with its 86 rooms and suites, feels like a home away from home, welcoming guests into its oasis of understated luxury with its intimate, cosy charm. Its unobtrusive service delivers a sanctuary for those seeking a truly secluded retreat in the midst of this glitzy location.

Breakfast is an experience for the senses. The buffet is an artful display of fresh, vibrantly coloured produce, patisserie, cheeses and fine charcuterie. A make-your-own juice bar and a table of freshly baked bread completes this delicious spread.

Culinary options include il Giardino, where rustic Italian etc etc are served under a pergola by the pool, and the service is as on-point as the maître d’s suit. The famous Le “B” Bar-Lounge, a Riviera favourite, boasts an impressive cocktail menu, paired with a selection of tasty tapas, perfect for sundowners.

Le Restaurant

Byblos Beach on the famous Pampelonne strip is a 10-minute shuttle-car drive from the hotel. It offers the ultimate private sunbathing and daytime dining experience under the Cote d’Azur sunshine. And no trip to St Tropez is complete without an evening at Les Caves du Roy, the legendary nightclub where glamour reigns and unforgettable nights are made.
