A FAVOURITE among celebrities and models alike, Dr. Dray’s clinic, located in Paris and London, has made a name for itself among the cosmetic surgery community.
Before my appointment with Dr. Maurice Dray, at the clinic discreetly located in a South Kensington side-street,I was very nervous of having any injectables as the only time I have had a Botox treatment, I was not in love with the result as it did not look as natural as I had hoped and my forehead remained a tad too frozen-looking.

However, Dr. Dray seemed really promising to me as the clinic has a very natural aesthetic, which is exactly the reason for its popularity among celebrities. As I entered the premises, I was first taken to a private room where pictures were taken of my face from various angles.
After this, the appointment continued with a Mesolift treatment, which was performed by nurse Egle who was extremely knowledgable and professional. The treatment itself involves a cocktail of medical vitamins which are injected directly into the skin, helping to tighten and produce collagen.
Although this can result in a little redness, I was provided with a numbing cream which made the treatment completely painless and the red appearance disappeared within the hour.
While I underwent this treatment, the doctor was studying my photographs and had decided on the best plan for me personally. Together we discussed the treatments and decided on fillers in my cheeks, jaw, chin while my forehead received a small amount of Botox. Although this gives the impression of a significant change and a big amount of procedures, the result was so subtle my husband hadn’t even noticed.
While I was finishing up, “little bit in your lips” was suggested which I was a little weary of. I have always disliked the obvious look of lip filler.However Dr. Dray’s lip filler is hyaluronic acid based, which is a new innovative way of hydrating the lips rather than over-filling them. I’d seen before and after pictures of the treatment in the clinic and was amazed at how they looked. I was reassured that it would result in a subtle look and promised that I would end up loving it, which I do.

I was convinced and after the lip filler my lips looked exactly as before, the same shape and size, yet they looked younger and slightly fuller. As I am now in my late 40s, I, like many people in my age, lost volume in my lips which was now restored. Additionally I had a few lines around my mouth due to smoking, which are now gone and the procedure evened out.
The whole experience turned out so much better than previous experiences and I was more satisfied than I had even hoped. All around I felt very pampered and cared for, while being surrounded by the clinic’s team who presented themselves with a careful and considerate approach.
A few weeks later I am still very pleased with the result and definitely feel fresher and appear less tired looking. In my everyday life, I have received many positive comments too.
