Glass reviews Guggenheim Bilbao digital initiative for self isolation


FROM the comfort of your self-isolation, view the Guggenheim through the eyes of its employees. The Guggenheim Museum Bilbao have launched a digital initiative, featuring an exclusive view into the museum behind the scenes during its temporary closure.

#GuggenheimBilbaoLive will showcase a number of videos created by the staff at the museum. Over the next few weeks new virtual content will feature the Director General, curators and others working in conservation, education, exhibition design and installation.Each unveiling their experiences and views of the museum, artworks and its exhibitions over this period of closure. They will be answering your questions as well as sharing their favourite work of art from the Collection and personal anecdotes about the current exhibitions.

In the next few days expect more videos, including exhibitions not yet on view, how the artwork is preserved, the museums most memorable shows, the professional’s perspective on the installations, sessions for children and families, and the as yet unknown places in the Frank Gehry building.

The latest video, curator Lucía Agirre  shares details and her favourite works in the current Olafur Eliasson: In Real Life show.
