THIS week, the Glass office was filled with laughter, clinking of glasses, effervescent bubbles and an abundance of mine pies at our annual Christmas Party. But one of the most wonderful additions to our festivities was the wonderful Hero Hamper from Abel & Cole.
An abundance of treats await when you open the beautiful wicker hamper. To start, two gleaming bottles stand before you. Traditional Italian Prosecco from Veneto’s Giol vineyard and a bottle of organic red wine, a deep crimson Château Rochecolombe Cotes du Rhône.
Tucked in beside this you’ll find a delicious 540 day-aged Andalusian Serrano ham and a trio of traditional cheeses: artisanal Brie, waxed vintage Cheddar and an award-winning blue Stilton from the Cropwell Bishop Creamery in the Vale of Beivoir.
And of course, you cannot have cheese without delectable accompanying biscuits and chutneys. Authentic Bread Co. Sea Salt & Cracked Black Pepper biscuits and Cheese Straws are a beautiful canvas on which to apply the the cheeses.
And when we were full of wine and cheese, a tasty addition of Abel & Cole’s mini-mince pies and Booja Booja honeycomb caramel chocolate truffles. And nothing better than English Breakfast tea after an evening of festive nibbles – and to accompany a warmed leftover mince pie the morning after.
