WHO knew that in the heart of the City, just moments from the buzz of Tower Bridge, one could find the majestic Four Seasons hotel, in all its neoclassical splendour? Well, I didn’t, until a recent Friday evening, when I travelled to the East End to experience the Ten Trinity Square Spa. This beautiful wellness haven can be found in the basement of the five-star property, a grand listed building that used to be the headquarters for the Port of London Authority. Walking out of Tower Hill tube station, it really was quite a stunning sight, impossible to miss.

Inside, things are just as impressive. The hotel’s luxury spa is a true sanctuary and pleasingly large at that, kicking off with a spacious golden-hued reception area where customers can peruse and purchase a number of skincare products; the Swiss range Dr. Burgener is offered exclusively. Presenting a variety of relaxation experiences, including a unique heated marble Hamman experience that tops any comparable treatment elsewhere in London, the spa has become a real haven for guests and locals alike.

The spa’s signature autograph treatments reflect the unique quality and style of Ten Trinity Square. Who wouldn’t want to go in for the two-hour cleansing ritual titled Prestigious Cocooning? What could be dreamier than a Royal Rose Nourishing Wrap?

I was lucky enough to experience the Harmonizing Detoxifying Ritual, a treatment based around a full-body massage with wild myrtle, cypress and juniper oils, followed by a warm body mask featuring sun-dried Indian Rhassoul clay. At the height of summer, feeling just a little exhausted, it couldn’t have been a more perfect choice. It also helped that the therapist was wonderfully flexible, and the products being used were of the highest quality. I walked out feeling utterly fantastic. Returning to Ten Trinity Square Spa will no doubt be an absolute requirement. I can’t wait.
