Hôtel Barrière Le Carl Gustaf reopens for its 4th season

PRIMED for its fourth season, the Barrière group’s 5-star Caribbean-based hotel – Hôtel Barrière Le Carl Gustaf St-Barth – recently reopened its door.

Despite being named after a Scandinavian king, the hotel prides itself on its French roots. Set upon a peaceful Caribbean coast, the Carl Gustaf boasts an impressive 21 guest rooms and suites.

Having been designed by Gilles & Boissier – one of France’s leading interior design agencies – each guest room is a perfect mélange between the style of the French Riviera and the soothing ambience of the Tropics.

The hotel is a short distance away from Gustavia, the capital of St Barth. As a result, guests are treated to the best views of the island, a plethora of amenities and intimate insight into Caribbean culture.

One of the hotel’s many amenities is the Diane Barrière Spa. Offering a range of Biologique Recherche treatments, guests are certain to feel rejuvenated and relaxed after visiting. Moreover, for those who prefer to venture outdoors, the hotel’s private Shellona beach is equally impressive.

The Shellona Beach Club is yet another reason to visit the hotel’s secluded beach. Doubling as a restaurant, the location is particularly popular with St Baths’ visitors. Helmed by Yiannis Kioroglou, the restaurant offers a selection of local culinary gastronomic delights.

Since reopening, Carl Gustaf is now home to a second restaurant, the Beefbar St Barth. Earning a top spot in the World’s 101 best steak restaurant, the Beefbar St Barth promises to deliver the finest cuts from Black Angus to Wagyu.

With signature dishes imagined by Thierry Paludetto, executive chef at the Giraudi group, the restaurant offers dishes such as bao buns, gyozas, croque sando, Wagyu Bolognese and many more.

To celebrate the hotel’s reopening, the Barrière group have a special package on offer. The package includes two nights in a deluxe suite with sea views and a private swimming pool, a signature aperitif cocktail at the Beefbar St Barth, a 45-minute beauty treatment for two at the spa and lunch on the beach at the Shellona.

Additionally, guests will be able to go on special adventures including a 1hr 30min sunset catamaran trip and a visit to Le Colombier – a pristine area of beauty on the island. The package, for two people, costs €5,780 and ensures guests have the ultimate get-away experience.
