HowTheLightGetsIn has released its musical and comedic line up for their 2022 festival, which will take place on the Jubilee weekend from the second to fifth of June in Black Mountains in Hay-On-Wye.
The festival in Hay combines critical thought and challenging debate with divers music as well as lively culture. HowTheLightGetsIn is the world’s biggest philosophy and music festival and is back for a weekend full of musical performances, comedy, and cabaret.
The festival will offer over 300 events throughout the weekend.
This year’s theme is Dreams and Jeopardy and will include headline speakers such as biologist Richard Dawkins, comedian Isy Suttie, Nobel Prize winning physicist Roger Penrose, science presenter Dallas Campbell, broadcaster and LBC host Iain Dale, philosopher of race Tommy Curry, political activist and musician Lowkey, and YouTuber Alex J.O’Connor (CosmicSkeptic). However more names should be added to the line-up in the future.
Music-wise the line-up includes dance acts Groove Armada (Tom Findlay), an exclusive DJ set from Django Django, Mercury prize winner Talvin Singh, DJ Nabihah Iqbal, singer songwriter Camille O’Sullivan, South London jazz collective Steam Down, soulful singer and cellist Ayanna Witter-Johnson, 6 Music’s Nemone and indie trio Peaness.
