Le Petit Trou welcomes spring with stripes and softness

LINGERIE and ready-to-wear brand Le Petit Trou has released its latest collection that celebrates the softness of spring. Founded in 2013 by Polish stylist Zuzanna Kuczyńska, Le Petit Trou has built a reputation for delicate lingerie and playful designs, and this approach has continued into this year’s spring-summer offerings with light layers and thoughtful details.

True to the brand’s roots, lingerie remains its focus, cue the voile, romantic florals, satin ruffles, sheer lace, and bows. Zuzanna says, “We create our lingerie to be enjoyed every day, without needing a special occasion. It’s about feeling good in it, simply being ourselves. I believe our brand embraces a sense of sensuality that’s understated, not obvious.”

As for ready-to-wear, back by popular demand is the Alma shirt, which is now in blue stripes, matching sets also remain central to the line, and there’s a floaty Girard dress for warm weather dressing. On the collection, Zuzanna shares that “it’s all about versatility, with pieces designed to complement each other. While we once focused more on lingerie, we’ve shifted towards clothing, keeping that playful spirit alive. We don’t take ourselves too seriously, for instance, I paired our trousers with a signature ruffle detail with the blazer for an evening look.”

She continues, “Our new dress features wide sleeves and distinctive biscuit-edge finishing. Its uniqueness comes from the rich, eye-catching colour and the cotton fabric with a sculptural, almost paper-like texture that holds its shape beautifully. Each piece stands out on its own, but together, they create a fun look.”

Accessories come in the form of the new Thomas bag and the grand hat, which has been made in collaboration with Polish hatmaker Paris+Hendzel, for another holiday essential. There’s also floral inspiration seen in the flower-appliqué leather flip-flops and hair clips.

On the accessories offering, Zuzanna says that they’re “designed to be effortlessly worn every day, yet still make a statement. They break the rhythm of ordinary, casual dressing, adding a sense of a playful wink. Take our flower-shaped clips in a soft cream colour. They are deliberately bold, oversized, elegant, and designed to command attention without ever trying too hard. Whether worn with denim or an evening dress, they bring a subtle drama that feels instinctive, not overdone.”
