Markus Lupfer celebrated British heritage for this collection and his take on “the full English” welcoming us into his tongue-in-cheek tour of England for a collection that highlighted the quintessential, nostalgic and joyful places outside of the capital.
In Lupfer’s seaside café models tucked into a lunch of chips, hot dogs and milkshakes, while doing crossword puzzles and playing bingo. It was his signature playful fun with slogan jumpers that said, One Sandwich Short of a Picnic and Bingo. Sweaters and T-shirts had cute motifs of crossword puzzles, blooms and spots on dinky little bomber jackets and skirts. Lupfer’s now favourite shape, the skater dress made an appearance this season. There was a hint of Mod slipped in too with grey flannel suits.
