LFWM SS19: John Lawrence Sullivan

JOHN Lawrence Sullivan‘s show for his SS19 collection took all the codes of streetwear like music, clothes and the diverity of the models.

The models walke to an electronic music of Visionist (the London-based producer) created especially for the show with pioneer electronic composers influences mixed with contemporary soundtracks. This added to the show an urban and modern edge.

Inspired by punk wardrobe and new wave bands like Depeche Mode, John Lawrence Sullivan used the codes of this period for reimagining them for the 21th century.

The result of this mix of materials, styles and prints has given the collection a streetwear spirit but resolutely modern.

Graphic and oversized cuts, washed denim, high-shine PVC and leather the bet of modernising the style of the 1980s and ‘90s is brilliantly raised from glasses to shoes.
