Louis Vuitton launches collaboration with contemporary artist Urs Fischer

TITLED Louis Vuitton x Urs Fischer, the French luxury fashion house has teamed up with Swiss contemporary artist Urs Fischer on a multifaceted project. Encompassing the artist’s playful nature into a range of ready-to-wear, leather goods, accessories and shoes, the collection reworks the LV signature monogram into a textured print.

Centring the pieces around the flowers and initials associated with Louis Vuitton, Fischer created hand-drawn versions which he has come to name Memory Sketches. The two motifs have come together to adapt to each piece creating a collection that varies in colour, size and depending on the product, the application technique.

The collection is available in two colour-ways, either black and red, or black and white, the minimalist approach leaves each piece hinting at Fischer’s own art pieces. Within the collaboration, there are seven special-edition bags reimagined by Urs Fischer: a Cabas, Keepall, Onthego, two Neverfulls, Speedys, Poechettes.

In addition, the accessories are made from the special effect designed by the artist, a unique extra that was executed thanks to a tuffetage treatment that uses velvet-like material to create the texture.
