Louis Vuitton launches fictionalised biography entitled Louis Vuitton, L’audacieux

CARRYING on the celebrations for the founder’s bicentennial birthday, Louis Vuitton with Editions Gallimard have come together to publish a very special novel.

Titled Louis Vuitton, L’Audacieux, the fictional book written by author Caroline Bongrand, known recently for her screenplay of the 2021 film Eiffel, traces the journey of the young man to the point of his brands inception.

Beginning the story at 14 years old, it starts with the protagonist leaving his family and embarking on a trek that leads him to Paris two years later. Working at Maréchal on Faubourg Saint-Honoré in the eighth arrondissement, the famous trunk-maker and packer.

This new enriched life led him to become a known visionary and friend of Eugénie de Montijo, the story’s Empress of France. With prestige in his favour the designer set up his eponymous label in 1854 allowing him to continue his journey of innovation in leather and craftsmanship, slowly adding fashion to his repertoire.

With Christmas around the corner, this is sure to be a best-seller in the fashion department and one worth to get your hands on.
