Louis Vuitton releases new Myriad fragrance

INTERTWINING architectural precision with perfumery, Louis Vuitton’s Master Perfumer, Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, and renowned architect Frank Gehry joined forces in 2021 to create a series of ground-breaking fragrances.

Now, in 2023, the two creatives are welcoming the arrival of their 6th perfume together.

Titled Myriad, the latest scent forms part of the Les Extraits Collection and is centred around oud – a wood so prestigious that many consider it as valuable as gold. “It’s an exceptional note that has always fascinated me,” explained Jacques Cavallier Belletrud.

Constantly influenced by the power of nature, Gehry and the Master Perfume continue to tap into hidden treasures that Mother Nature provides.

Speaking on this inspiration, Jacques Cavallier Belletrud said: “She is our guide…Frank and I both love the wind that gusts through the world around us. We love movement and fluidity, two notions that are at the heart of the Les Extraits Collection.”

Sourcing Assam oud from an exclusive supplier in Bangladesh, the fragrance is enriched with a spicy, woody base note. Meanwhile, various flowers and spices also make an appearance in order to juxtapose the intensity of the oud.

Combining the essence of Bulgarian roses, saffron and cocoa, the two practitioners have fabricated a sensory masterpiece. Additionally, one can notice gentle notes of ambrette, white musk and moss which increase the longevity and blend the scents into one luminous, light perfume.

Presented in a delicate burgundy bottle – expertly designed by Frank Gehry – the perfume exudes luxury and refinement.
