ARCHITECT Peter Marino merges two historic Parisian mansions at Place Vendôme to create an extravagant new Louis Vuitton flagship store, honouring the founder’s Parisian beginnings. Returning the four floors to their 18th Century grandeur, originally designed by the architect of the Palace of Versailles Jules Hardouin-Mansart, the spacious arena of luxury combines the building and brands heritage with ultra-modern designs.
Flooding with natural light, the store set within the heart of Paris, the store features archival trunks, leather-lined shelving and references to French craftsmanship that makes for a fresh space – quintessential Louis Vuitton.

The new store, home to two working ateliers, opened its doors in early October to celebrate its grand opening. Exclusive guests including Julianne Moore, Mark Ronson and Jaden Smith gathered at Place Vendôme after the SS18 show to marvel at the heritage pieces that are displayed alongside the ready to buy clothing, jewellery and accessories. Combining the past and present to prove forever relevant comes naturally to Louis Vuitton, evidential through the harmonious blend in influences of art, fashion and architecture within the four-tier boutique.
