Marni collaborates with Venezuelan artist Magdalena Suarez Frimkess for Chinese New Year

LONG-time friend of the fashion house, Venezuelan artist Magdalena Suarez Frimkess comes together with Marni to celebrate Chinese New Year.

Launching a capsule collection comprised of ready-to-wear and accessories for men and women, Suarez’s illustrations have been translated into vibrant prints, embroideries and jacquards.

Endless iterations of the tiger are found interwoven in the pieces, as cotton poplin shirts, midi-skirts constructed with pleats and the famous knitwear are infused with bold motifs echoing the celebrations ahead. Bowling shirts, baseball tees and varsity jackets showcase the youthful side to the collab, while fluid pyjamas, cashmere vests and a-line dresses bring a more toned down, feminine element to the collection, offering something to suit all styles.

Accessories are not forgotten about as they return with a festive makeover. The Trunk Soft bag is reimagined in black and ruby red, the Museo bag adorns a large tiger and the Pablo sneakers debut with spurts of colourful graphicisms.
