Mercedes-Benz unveils exclusive art collaboration with Kid Cudi

AS PART of its continued endeavours to expand on its core values of innovation and technology, last Friday, 21 October, Mercedes-Benz invited those in Paris for an immersive experience at an exclusive event dubbed Mercedes-Benz Presents: Entergalactic.

Created in partnership with a world-class multi-hyphenate creative actor and musician, Kid Cudi, this one-off event is a tangible brand experience set to celebrate the artist’s “unique multi-faceted artistry through the lens of human-centric innovation”.

Taking place in the gardens of the Musée Rodin, the guests were welcomed to enter the iconic venue via a lunar moon walk outfitted with LED screens and mirrors. The collaboration submerged the visitors into the otherworldly adventure through the mind of Kid Cudi, presented through digital projection and video mapping.

As Cudi shared, “This event in Paris presented a unique opportunity to showcase all of my artistic passions together in one environment. The brand gave me the creative freedom I needed to shape the experience”.

The launch has also revealed an exclusive and highly anticipated collaboration between Cudi and famed artist KAWS along with the celebration of the world premiere of the EQE SUV from Mercedes-EQ and Mercedes-AMG, including a presentation of Mercedes-Benz Magical Garage Campaign: a 360-degree digital installation that showcases Mercedes-Benz’ ground-breaking implementations.

It’s important for the brand to continue to develop inventions in the fields of culture and design, and as Bettina Fetzer, the Vice President of Communications & Marketing Mercedes-Benz AG, shared, “art is a natural course for us to innovate our brand storytelling”.
