MFW AW23: Brunello Cucinelli

BRUNELLO Cucinelli’s autumn-winter 2023 women’s collection is a masterful fusion of classic and modern styles, resulting in a stunning and unforgettable collection.

Drawing inspiration from British manors, the show boasts warm and enveloping textures that evoke a sense of the countryside. The colour palette of winter whites and beiges, along with sophisticated blues, perfectly complements the collection’s aesthetic, influenced by the end of the millennium.

Boxy jackets, demi-cropped sweaters, and multifunctional, cosy coats embody the collection’s dedication to quality design; they are adorned with luxurious elements like knitted inserts, outdoor-style collars, and plush shearling linings. Matching sets, twisted wool yarns, and reflective surfaces all contrast with one another to produce a distinct rhythm.

The knitwear has the label’s signature blend of traditional tailoring techniques, cutting-edge design, and youthful vitality, while the pants come in a variety of new straight volumes and slouchy fits with utilitarian accents that provide a subtle tribute to traditional tailoring guidelines.

Adding a feminine touch to the range, the release features mini- and midi-skirts with splits that add movement to ankle-length columns or subtly flared skirts. The accessories in the collection reflect its soul, with college-style loafers and monili clips, urban folk references with shearling inserts, and knee-high boots with trapezoidal heel shapes and tube silhouettes.

It is fair to say that Cucinelli’s AW23 showcase is a perfect blend of timeless elegance and contemporary innovation, offering sophisticated styles suitable for any occasion.
