MFW SS18: Annakiki

AN EXPLOSION of energy, Annakiki’s SS18 was bursting with ultra-modern references, flashy fonts as well as bold stripes, vibrant patches and ripped materials. Defining the next-step in millennial fashion especially focusing on youth subcultures, designer Anna Yang references the age of technology throughout the looks as she focuses on turning up the volume on recent trends of the current decade. Influenced by the modern world, the clothes are decorated with Wi-Fi symbols, remote control buttons and rebellious scribbling.

As each independently fearless look offers new colours, mixes of beige, blues, purples greens and reds, it is the references to current fashions of baseball caps, backpacks and athleisure wear that gives the SS18 collection consistency. Almost ironic, the looks exaggerated popular culture and the taped trousers, double denim outfitting and thick framed sunglasses are tweaked to be stylish looking further into the future.
