MFW SS18: Lucio Vanotti

SPLASHES of gold, waves of aqua and light blue in the lighting of the runway accompanied the SS18 collection by Lucio Vanotti. These colours accompanied by the white, black and copper seen in the looks created a tasteful palette. This collection had a strong 1950s feeling, with full skirts in various fabrics giving a Teddy girl-look – as if the models were stepping out of a classic film that we all would like to be in.

The collection included as well high-waists with belts, tailored trousers, open skirts and shirts long enough to be dresses. Garments were layered on top to create a textured look, with added on ropes and bags to give a rustic but darling effect.

Models with a distinct natural make-up look ornamented fascinators on their heads – almost like pieces of art.
