NYFW SS17: Altuzarra

GINGHAM habitué, French-born designer Joseph Altuzarra has pushed the summer boundaries a little bit further this season.

Indeed SS17 at Altuzarra will be highly fruitified in motif (lemons, pineapples, blueberries and cherries are finely embroidered everywhere from jackets to dresses) and the colour palette pastel: dusty orange, pink, yellow and sky blue, of course.

No stranger to a bit of sass, Altuzarra also opted for some snakeskin statements along the way, rending the show all the more daring, playful and forward.

Also a subtle nod to David Lynch’s 1990 film Wild at Heart, Altuzarra SS17 collection is condensed between romanticism and kitsch for an overall flirty and juicy summer closet.
