FLORAL and feminine, Mansur Gavriel’s SS19 collection effortlessly captured the essence of the contemporary of chic and minimalist fashion. Once again Mansur Graviel opted for a more muted-down and intimate presentation, further exuding intimacy and elegance.
Known for using a limited, nature-inspired colour palette this SS19 collection followed suit. Blush pinks, beautiful beiges and crips whites were interlaced with bright pops of colour in yellow, blue and red.
Models were sat across the room, oozing sophistication in long silky slip dresses hugging the body like a glove. Other pieces had a rather slouchy fit, sitting comfortably on the shoulders breathing chicness. Just like a good spring clean, this bright collections was a breath of fresh air, setting itself apart from the current fashion trends of industrial and oversized utilitarian garments.
The designer-duo took the floral inspiration quite literally, with little daisies embroidered across several looks and a stunning light blue slip dress embellished with silver details, giving the illusion of hundreds of butterfly wings or was it flower petals?
Yet it weren’t just the outfits that were colour-coordinated, the floral arrangements blended perfectly with the accessories on display. Mansur Gavriel, starting out as a accessories brand, did their heritage proud, with this collection. Beautiful leather bags were scattered across the room, yet there was one that stood out. A pleated leather bag, looking like a exceptional sculpture, true arm candy.
A sleek, minimal collection budding with flare.
