Chanel has been close to Cruz’s heart for almost 20 years now, regularly wearing their head-to-toe looks for her appearances at the Oscars, the Cannes Film Festival, and prominently, being dressed by Chanel for 2009 Pedro Almodóvar’s film Broken Embraces. A favourite actor of Almodóvar, Penelope Cruz has now been chosen by Karl Lagerfeld to represent Chanel in the upcoming campaign.
