PFW AW13: Atelier Versace Couture Fall

Naomi Campbell dashingly opened the Atelier Versace catwalk show in Paris – sleek and mature, a powerful specimen of a woman in a powerfully executed, racy black mini.

The collection featured dyed animal skins in the form of skirt suits and extravagantly belted trenches. There were sleek, womanly, body-hugging dresses that seductively bore immense décolletage, and flared pants that paired with matching blazers and barely-there, lacy lingerie.

One design concept that was seen in a handful of looks was a tantalizing, vertically curving pattern of interlocking white diamonds that seemed almost hauntingly sexy, in a skeletal and femme fatale sort of way.

Gowns boasted taunting slits up the thigh, around the back, across the chest; midriffs were exposed like they were in the halcyon days of 1990s Versace, and curves were highly exalted.

Glitter, pants suits, sheerness and sparkles struck gold within the collection, and the legendary Miss Naomi Campbell ended the show just as stunningly as she had begun it, this time with even more leg in a one-piece bodysuit.
