PFW SS18: Comme des Garçons

EXTRAVAGENT and eccentric, with hints of religious artistry. Comme des Garçons’s SS18 collection gives us garments that seem like renaissance paintings.

More than clothes, the garments are art. Like sculptures, the models wore the giant dresses with paint like prints, which were taken from artists such as Giuseppe Arcimboldo’s portraits of fruit illustrator Stefan Mark and pixel art from e-Boy.

Victorian-style dresses covered in modern and old prints, decorated with plastic toys and dominate this collection, made of many materials of sheer, ruffles and shiny fabrics, these garments are clearly stunning visuals.

The models’ hair was styled sky-high, standing on top of their heads, the only reaction to this is “wow”. Comme des Garçons have, achieved the impossible and out done themselves this time.
