PFW SS18: Miu Miu

VINTAGE and teen-like, is what the new SS18 collection from Miu Miu says to us. Taking us back to a feeling of being in the school locker halls in the 1950s with our textbooks and pictures of our celebrity crushes pinned on the inside of locker doors. Very retro and very aesthetically relevant right now.

Colours of browns, beiges, yellows, reds and navies all filled this collection, plus more. With  lumberjack visuals on shirts and dresses overlaid shirts with similar patterns, lace sheer wraps covered garments of cigarette trousers and colourful stockings, jumper vests with Art Deco pattens cover shirts with collars popping out and dresses with floral prints, block colours and gingham. Dark heavyweight trench coats were also paired over lace dresses.

Sandles, loafers and pointed heels were worn on the models’ feet as they dominated the catwalk sporting black headbands that slicked back their hair, brightly coloured handbags, encrusted jewellery and brooches and oddly shaped sunglasses were also accessorised in this fun and nostalgic collection.
