Prada Caffè arrives at London’s Harrods

ADDING another layer to how we can experience fashion, Prada has opened Prada Caffè at London’s behemoth department store Harrods from 31 March 2023 to 7 January 2024.

Offering customers and passersby an opportunity to delve into the Italian fashion House from a culinary perspective for the first time, this new opening is built around the visual hallmarks that represent the brand, reflecting its design language with each small to large detail.

Coloured in Prada green, the walls, ceilings and velvet sofas and armchairs are the first indicator of being immersed into the world of Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons, while the black-and-white chequered floor pay homage to Prada’s flagship store on Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan.

Widely recognised for its triangular logo, this symbol is integrated into the decor of the Prada Caffè, finding itself in the pattern of the tableware and within the dishes on the menu. Served on pale-blue Japanese porcelain detailed with a contrasting black line inspired by Celadon pottery and also showcasing hand-blown crystal glassware, craftsmanship is at the forefront of this experience.

Starting from breakfast all the way to evening cocktails, Italian cuisine is at the heart of what you can taste at the Prada Caffè. Ranging from sandwiches and expertly crafted patisseries, to the classic buffalo mozzarella and risotto dishes the country’s culinary heritage is celebrated here, even bringing the Amalfi coast to the drinks menu with a variety of spritz’s and negroni-based aperitifs and wine list that spans the entirety of the country.
