Regent Street to re-launch Summer Streets

This Summer London’s famed central retail strip, Regent Street, is set to bring back Summer Streets for the fourth year running. Going into effect on July 5 with a garden theme, in which the street will be transformed into a lawn-covered oasis with butterfly and bee zones, each following Sunday will see the street become a traffic-free zone.

Other interactive themes that will take centre stage on Sunday 12, 19 and 26 include a focus on health and fitness, a 50m temporary catwalk show dubbed The Mile of Style and also a celebration of Regent’s Street’s arts and culture presence, featuring artists creating live installations.

The summertime initiative will be a departure from the usual hustle and bustle generated by traffic and will open up the street and its retail hotspots, from major fashion brands including Burberry, Longchamp and Hunter to numerous fine dining haunts, to many new consumers. Shoppers will also be able to keep up with the Summer Streets event on the Regent Street app.
