REGENT SEVEN SEAS CRUISES – the world’s leading luxury cruise line – has just welcomed its sixth ship to its impressive fleet. Seven Seas Grandeur welcomed guests aboard for the first time on November 18th, 2023.
The new ship has been carefully crafted following Regent’s 30 years of experience in luxury cruising. Having been designed by Studio DADO and built by Fincantieri in Ancona, Italy, Seven Seas Grandeur promises to be a revolutionary vessel.
Speaking on the design of the ship, the President of Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Andrea DeMarco, said: “The expectations of both our loyal past guests and those who are new to Regent will be exceeded by Seven Seas Grandeur’s refined style, matchless elegance, and breath-taking beauty. As the appetite for luxury travel continues to grow, the delivery of Seven Seas Grandeur provides even more opportunities to cruise the world while enjoying the highest standards of hospitality in lavish and spacious surroundings.”
With a gross tonnage of 55,500, staff of 548, and holding of 746 guests, the spacious surroundings are no understatement. The ratio of guests to staff ensures that each guest will feel welcomed and well-cared for whilst venturing on the luxury cruise.
For those wishing to experience the new ship, 15 exquisite accommodation categories are available with rooms ranging from 307 square feet, to over 4,443 square feet. From Distinctive Suites to the palatial Regent Suite, Seven Seas Grandeur offers many options for ultimate comfort.
Additionally, the dining experiences on board are not to be overlooked. Regent’s culinary programming – Epicurean Perfection – has been elevated across the ship’s 5 distinct restaurants.
Chef Michael Meyepa and Food & Beverage Director Stéphane Carriou have crafted an impressive 130 new dishes – exclusively available on Seven Seas Grandeur. Various signature restaurants, such as Compass Rose, Prime 7, Chartreuse and La Veranda, have also received a new appearance in order to enhance the holistic beauty of the vessel.
For those hoping to make some gastronomic delights of their own, do not worry. The ship’s culinary arts kitchen offers special demonstrations, masterclasses and more – all led by highly skilled chefs. Further entertainment options include perusing Seven Seas Grandeur’s 1,600-piece art collection consisting of works from Picasso, Walter Goldfarb and many more.
Moreover, four productions will debut on the new ship. Pasión, Ignite the Night, Marauder’s Ball and ICONS will be available to witness for the first time in a display of talent from world-class performers and choreographers. With Britt Stewart, Francisco Forquera and John MacInnis‘ knowledge and expertise, the new productions are certain to be unmissable experiences.
Meanwhile, for those hoping to experience some relaxation and tranquillity whilst on board, the ship’s Serene Spa & Wellness will also offer new and exclusive spa treatments. With treatments such as the arrival of a restorative amber and quartz crystal bed, a zero gravity wellness massage and a Tahitian hydration ritual, the spa has many rejuvenating possibilities to explore.
For its maiden voyage, Captain Luciana Montesanto guided Seven Seas Grandeur from Venice to Barcelona. From there, the ship travels across the Atlantic to Miami, where the guests will experience an exclusive gala event being held on December 10th.
At the event, the ship’s Godmother – Sarah Fabergé – will christen the prestigious vessel. Guests will then be invited to enjoy a celebratory 3-night Caribbean cruise before sailing back to Barcelona. The rest of 2024 will be filled with voyages across the Mediterranean, Canada, New England and then will conclude with another trip to the Caribbean.
