Simone Bellotti releases a music video as a prelude to his Jil Sander debut

MONTHS after his appointment at Jil Sander, Simone Bellotti has given us a taste of what’s to come in his role as creative director.

In an unconventional move, Bellotti’s first project steps beyond fashion into the realm of sound and vision. He has released a music video and a seven-track EP. The featured track, Wanderlust, is accompanied by a visually captivating video that reflects the track’s entrancing electronic beats. The sound was created by Bochum Welt, the stage name of Italian electronic artist Gianluigi Di Costanzo.

Shot in Hamburg, the video tells a dynamic story of stillness and motion, capturing the duality that Jil Sander embodies so effortlessly, just now through Bellotti’s perspective. We follow individuals lost in a wanderlust-driven journey as they move through cinematic scenes and mundane moments across the sprawling city.

This project sets the tone for the world Bellotti is beginning to shape at Jil Sander, ahead of his official debut at Milan Fashion Week this September. Through music, he signals that his vision for the brand will be a sensory experience—fashion that resonates not just visually, but emotionally and atmospherically.
