Step Inside The Louis Vuitton Hotel in London’s Mayfair this Spring

THOUGH the concept of a hotel you cannot actually stay in may sound strange, Louis Vuitton begs to differ. In continuation of its year-long celebration honouring 130 years of its iconic monogram print, the French Maison has set its sights on staging an ephemeral experience in the heart of London — the Louis Vuitton Hotel.

It’s an apt idea for a label so intrinsically associated with the art of travel. Taking residence for two months in a Georgian-style townhouse nestled in Mayfair’s Berkeley Square, the immersive pop-up traces the stories and the lasting affinity behind each of Louis Vuitton’s most beloved bags: the Speedy, Keepall, Noé, Alma, and Neverfull.

Entering through the Keepall lobby, visitors can venture to Café Alma and savour a two-course, seasonal déjeuner at the signature luncheon or nibble delectable British patisseries at the Afternoon Tea for two. Feeling satiated, you can then explore the nearby Speedy room, where myriad Speedy bags are displayed, conveying the story of a bag renowned for its celebrity appeal, stylish appearance and savoir-faire.

Its neighbouring Speedy P9 Safe Room (decked out in metallic gold walls, no less ) probes at the bag’s popularity further, demonstrating its modern reinterpretation by current Men’s Creative Director Pharrell Williams and the bag’s seamless transition from past to present zeitgeists.

On the townhouse’s top floor, the Neverfull Gym awaits fitness and fashion fiends alike. Paying homage to the 2007 tote’s versatility, the gym is kitted with a mirrored weight rack area, championing movement and strength for both body and bag.

Then, to cap off a lunch and a crunch, guests can indulge in a bottle of bubbly at the intimate Bar Noé — a champagne and cocktail bar that bridges Parisian elegance with London’s vibrant nightlife scene. Raising a toast to Louis Vuitton’s craftsmanship and its timeless travel companions, take the celebrations into the night with curated DJ line-ups each Thursday, Friday and Saturday night.
