The Lowell Hotel, New York partners with Shou Sugi Ban House for weekend retreat

AS WORLD cities go, New York is hard to beat and especially so if staying in the Upper East Side, Manhattan, with Central Park and Fifth Avenue on your doorstep. When the urban pulse becomes too insistent, however, the need to escape is imperative and the gentler sound of lapping waves in the Hamptons beckons.

Now, both locals can be enjoyed in supreme comfort thanks to an enterprising partnership between The Lowell Hotel and Shou Sugi Ban House.

After a stay at The Lowell, its impeccable service delivers a chauffeured drive to the Hamptons’ first wellness retreat and spa; and the Parisian aspect of the Manhattan hotel segues into the Japanese bearing of Shou Sugi Ban House. Over two nights, you’ll indulge in signature breakfasts, morning movement classes, a Sound Bath, a hydrotherapy session and a dinner designed by Michelin-starred chef Mads Refslund.
