CLARIDGE’S ArtSpace Café has been renamed Claridge’s Art Café by Thibault Hauchard, after its executive pastry chef, and has a new menu to match.
Hauchard has built a name at Claridge’s for playful, technically precise patisserie; as a result, La Liste named the café the world’s best new pastry shop in 2025, and the renaming acknowledges the chef behind its cakes and sweet creations. “I am very honoured to have my name over the door. I love the creative freedom I have here,” says Hauchard.

Found on Brook’s Mews, behind the hotel, the café sits alongside Claridge’s Bakery and Claridge’s Flowers. Downstairs is Perrotin London, the contemporary gallery where exhibitions change throughout the year, which was also designed by renowned British architectural designer John Pawson.

The new all-day menu covers breakfast, lunch and patisserie, offering everything from café staples to a few less predictable items; think boiled eggs with truffled cheese soldiers along with waffles, which are served sweet or savoury, and toppings from chorizo and Comté to melted chocolate and caramel.
There’s also a sweetcorn fritter with fried egg, avocado, chipotle salsa and coriander, alongside hot crepes and salads. Origin Coffee supplies the coffee, plus wine and Champagne are served throughout the day, naturally.
Claridge’s Art Café
The café’s hot chocolate is made by melting blocks stamped with the Claridge’s crest into hot milk, and another version uses chocolate spheres that dissolve to show the secret marshmallows inside. At the patisserie counter, the Claridge’s Crest Cake is the signature, joined by a refreshed Tahiti vanilla cake and a brownie-and-hazelnut take on the crest design.
Larger celebration cakes, serving up to eight people, can be ordered in chocolate or mango with 48 hours’ notice. It’s coffee and cake Claridge’s style.
