Tod’s partners with Tim Walker in The Art of Craftsmanship

THE ARTISANAL Italian design house Tod’s has exemplified it’s notorious commitment to fine craftsmanship in a brand new collaborative project with famed fashion photographer Tim Walker, with a visual series of images and videos lovingly called “The Art of Craftsmanship.”

Tradition and whimsicality, two hallmark pillars of both respective creative forces, are materialised through surrealist photography and direction.

Detailing a behind-the-scenes aspect, we are shown the creative process of brand favourites from, the Di Bag to the Gommino, in a humorously absurd manor in which layers of fabric and shoe moulds are enlarged to such a degree they dominate the models.

Though on reflection, the partnership may seem unlikely, it has certainly culminated in a joyfully expressive gallery of images, which both successfully denote an aesthetic akin to both Tod’s Italian handiwork, and Tim Walker’s ethereal visual confections.
