NORWEGIAN JEWELLERY HOUSE Tom Wood has unveiled two new collections for autumn/winter in the form of Pebble and Tuboga. As captured on the streets of Tokyo in a street-style campaign, we see the meeting of the metropolitan and the remote.
The Pebble collection, which consists of 13 pieces, including rings, earrings, necklaces and a jewellery box, is an ode to nature and nostalgia. As you’d expect it’s all about beautifully smooth, tactile, organic shapes, reminiscent of those found by the shore, shaped by lapping waves.

A special and personal collection for the founder, it holds a sentimental value, “I have many fond memories on the beach with my daughters, barefoot on the sand, walking in the sea, collecting pebbles and seashells. It’s inherited from my mum to me, and now to my children. When I visit my parents’ house back home it’s filled with seashells and stones in bowls from walks on the beach next to our house. They are used as decoration around the house.”

Unique to the collection is the Pebble Box, solidifying Tom Wood’s brand innovation and exploration of objects; Mona Jensen, Founder and Creative Director of Tom Wood says, “In the same way that I used pebble stones from the nearby beach where I grew up as decorative elements at home, the silver box can be displayed as a sculptural object to elevate a space or hold something dear, like jewellery.”
Next up, we’re taken to the city with the Tubogas collection, and inspired by avant-garde coiled gas pipes used as constructional elements in buildings, as Mona says, “While I am often inspired by architecture, I recently felt inspired to look beyond the facade and explore the intricacies within.”

The focused 8-piece capsule is crafted using recycled silver and gold; after all, Tom Wood takes a carbon-conscious approach to design and notes that recycled metals are less carbon-intensive by 90% – reinforcing the brand pillars of simplicity, innovation, functionalism, and its commitment to reduce its environmental impact.
